SPECIAL NOTES:

Four (4) years of professional experience in the field of Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or Information Technology-related field and three (3) years’ experience in performing testing of a complex nature is required. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or Information Technology-related field of study and three (3) years of professional experience in performing testing of a complex nature may be used as an alternative for the requiredprofessional experience.

Additional requirements:

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ of ITSM platform development, configuration, and administrative experience in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience working with Web technologies, including JavaScript, Ajax, HTML, and CSS.
  • Knowledge of IT service management concepts, principles, methods, and practices.
  • Experience analyzing, investigating, and resolving technical and functional issues in an enterprise environment.
  • Solid understanding of the application development process including requirements analysis, quality assurance, design, scheduling, implementation, issue tracking, version control, and deployment.
  • Working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferences:

  • Experience administering Service-Now in an ITIL/ITSM environment including components such as Incident/Problem/Change/Request, etc.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow best practices and ongoing knowledge of the latest ServiceNow features.
  • Experience writing detailed documentation around processes, procedures, and day-to-day tasks.
  • Knowledge of PM/Agile concepts.

This position may be required to occasionally perform duties other than those listed on the position description.

The salary range for this position is $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 annually.

Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze and interpret technical data.
  • Ability to plan, organize and conduct workshops, seminars, and training classes.
  • Ability to work with business users to gather and analyze system requirements.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems with existing applications.
  • Knowledge of IT Infrastructure Library Concepts (ITIL).
  • Knowledge of standard Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Knowledge of ITSM internal components (Business Rules, Client Scripts, Table Schema, JavaScript, UI Actins, UI Policies, Reports, Dashboards, Workflows, Notifications).
  • Knowledge of PM/Agile concepts.
  • Skill in the practical application of ITIL Management processes.
  • Ability to develop and implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to research, interpret and prepare reports, presentations, and other documents.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

This position is responsible for day-to-day administration, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the ServiceNow platform for the Florida PALM project. This will include (but is not limited to) supporting process such as Incident, Problem, Change, CMFB. Service Catalog, Knowledge, Service Portal, and other service modules. The Administrator monitors the overall platform health to proactively identify possible areas of concern, establishes regular maintenance procedures, and perform regular maintenance tasks to sustain platform performance. This includes working directly with end users to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve support issues.

In addition to performing support functions, the ServiceNow Administrator performs design and implementation tasks like requirements gathering, configuration, integration, and testing. The Administrator partners with users to create and modify process workflows, reporting, and dashboards in addition to developing knowledge, technical, and process documentation. Additionally, the Administrator stays abreast of new features and functionality, playing a key role in driving continual improvement.
