St Michael is Hiring a Business Development Intern Near Woodbridge, VA
- Pursuing a BS in Business, Marketing, Engineering, International Business, Finance, Project Management or related major interested in putting their skills to work as a Business Development Intern.
- Proficient ability to detect errors and inconsistencies.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Proficient with MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Team player, with the ability to champion the BD process.
- Outstanding analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility, able to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Receive direct exposure to several areas of the St. Michael’s Inc. Business Development team, which is comprised of Contracts, Capture Management, Proposal Management, Marketing & Communications, and an introduction to common government market research concepts.
- Gain familiarity with St. Michael’s Inc. business areas and strategic solutions to procedures and deliverables associated with our winning strategies.
- Interact with various levels of management throughout St. Michael’s Inc.
- Perform opportunity identification and customer research using online research portals.
- Work with and learn about other functions within BD and outside of BD - Capture, Solutioning, Proposal Development, Pricing, Recruiting, etc.
- Attend opportunity specific internal and external meetings in addition to attending the BD monthly review meetings.
- Data mine the Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS) to analyze government spending trends.
- Help format/review proposal resumes, create graphics and assist proposal assembly team with production.
- Review Past Performance Narratives for subcontracted work.
- Perform other related duties as required.
