  • Embrace and model the school’s mission and philosophy in working with students, parents, colleagues, and administration.
  • Cultivate a positive attitude and demonstrate excellence in motivating and inspiring students.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Convey enthusiasm for content and intellectual inquiry
  • Design instruction that emphasizes critical thinking and problem-solving
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of current educational best practices and effectively apply them to teaching.
  • Implement a dynamic curriculum, differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
  • Address students' social-emotional needs through daily lessons and activities, promoting well-being and a sense of belonging.
  • Collaborate with grade-level colleagues under the guidance of the Director of Teaching and Learning to coordinate, review, and develop lesson plans and curriculum maps.
  • Monitor and impact student progress, maintaining open and proactive communication with parents through various platforms such as parent-teacher conferences, email, and narratives in progress reports.
  • Build strong partnerships with parents and collaborate seamlessly with fellow staff members.
  • Fulfill supervisory duties, attend meetings, engage in professional development, and actively participate in committees as assigned by the Lower School Director.
  • Embrace change and innovation, actively seeking learning opportunities while committing to ongoing professional development.
  • Occasionally provide classroom coverage during free periods when outside substitutes are not available.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
