ST LOUIS UNIVERSITY HIGH is Hiring an Administrative Assistant, AP Student Life Near St. Louis, MO

The Administrative Assistant will provide high-level administrative support to the Assistant Principal for Student Life (APSL) and facilitate the efficient operation of the office.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provides administrative support and assistance to the APSL.
  • Oversees daily attendance, absences and tardies for the student body.
  • Performs clerical and administrative tasks including letters and mailings.
  • Answers and transfers phone calls, screening when necessary.
  • Assists the APSL with daily student interactions and occurrences.
  • Provides guidance and formation for students in line with the policies set forth by the APSL.
  • Welcomes and directs parents, students and visitors to the appropriate place.
  • Supervises work grant students.
  • Assists with emergency drills.
  • Tracks and summarizes data from Student Discipline System.
  • Maintains the calendar for the APSL.
  • Helps maintain the school calendar.
  • Administrative liaison between APSL and other leaders in programs related to student life.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exemplary organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
  • Extensive knowledge of office administration, clerical procedures, and recordkeeping systems.
  • Proficient with Google Suite or similar software with the ability to learn specific education software programs.
  • Proficient in fostering positive relationships with parents and students, particularly those requiring discipline and guidance.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • At least four years of related experience required.
