Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team at SpringHill Suites by Marriott Charleston Riverview. The Maintenance Technician will play a vital role in ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of our facilities to provide guests with a seamless and enjoyable experience during their stay. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing repairs, electrical work, and HVAC system maintenance
- Conduct inspections of hotel facilities to identify and address any maintenance issues or safety concerns
- Respond promptly to guest requests for repairs or assistance and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Assist with the installation of new equipment and fixtures as needed
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of supplies
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance efforts and minimize disruption to guests
- Uphold all safety standards and regulations to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff
Requirements:
- Previous experience in maintenance or a related field preferred
- Strong technical skills with knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders
- High school diploma or equivalent
