Description

Spartan Logistics is a third-party logistics (3PL) company headquartered in Columbus, OH. We specialize in a unique logistics model: We own and operate our own warehouses, fleet, forklifts, and other key equipment. We have decades of experience in fast-moving inventory, especially food and beverages, and also are veteran handlers of glass, paper, automotive supplies, and more. With our staff of more than 350, we operate over 4 million square feet of warehouse space strategically placed throughout Ohio, Indiana, South Carolina, Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky and Texas.

We are looking for an Office Manager to join our corporate team in Columbus, OH. As the initial point of contact for our organization, the Office Manager plays an essential role in managing various responsibilities, such as answering phones, clerical tasks, and front desk duties, ensuring the smooth operation of our corporate office, and delivering exceptional administrative support to various departments within the corporate office. All work assumed is treated with the utmost confidentiality.

What You'll be doing as an Office Manager:

  • Primary point of contact for answering incoming office phone calls and directing to the correct extension. 
  • Welcome visitors and identify the purpose of their visit before directing them to the appropriate department, offer refreshments to customers.?
  • Prepare outgoing mail and packages for courier services as well as sort and distribute incoming mail and packages. This includes scanning to other locations, when necessary.
  • Manage monthly calendars for our President and management team.
  • Scribe meeting minutes and disperse to appropriate individuals.?
  • Provides extensive support to corporate office personnel such as photocopying and scanning documents, electronic and physical filing, presentation assistance or other administrative tasks, as needed.??
  • Manages the office calendar, including monitoring the travel schedules of office staff to track their availability, ensuring proper office coverage, and maintaining awareness of everyone's whereabouts.
  • Manages the monthly expense reporting process for the President and Vice-President. 
  • Updates daily attendance board.
  • Orders corporate office lunches and replenish breakroom snacks, as needed.
  • Responsible for procurement of office supplies for both the corporate office and Columbus locations.
  • Responsible for administering all approvals related to Amazon Business orders for the company.
  • Organizing festive events such as Christmas parties, birthdays, and anniversary celebrations within our corporate office location.
  • Responsible for managing the SWAG store, which involves monitoring inventory, tracking sales, and ensuring a diverse range of items are consistently available.
  • Performing minor office cleaning tasks, including conference room tidying, office space organization, and front office area maintenance.
  • Coordinates all travel plans for employees beyond the corporate office, as requested by management.
  • All other duties assigned.
