MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Gain understanding of the hotel’s existing and potential client base (this is often affected by the type of hotel, the location and the specific types of business taking place in the hotel’s geographic area)

· Devise new ways to expand the client base through prospecting, marketing and key relationships

· Network with wedding planners and special event planners to increase bookings for these types of events (this is also often done by the Catering Sales Manager or the Event Manager)

· Negotiates, designs and implements special group rates for key accounts

· Acts as a pro-active, quota-carrying prospects accounts, closes deals and maintains relationships

· Establish and develop customer and account management -by applying strong sales skills to create customer value, differentiate our hotel from the competition and bring clear value to customers and the organizations they represent.

· Demonstrate prospecting process. Identify potential customers. Prepare and implement call strategy.

· Use past experience to negotiate and to understand the customer and the business leaders expectations. Adapt to a changing market, and solidify opportunities/prospects.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

· Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred

· Minimum Years of Experience: Minimum of one year of Hotel experience in guest contact areas. Previous sales experience preferred.

· Additional Requirements: Ability to travel on short notice and adaptable to schedule changes.

· Highly professional presentations and oral and written communication skills.

Salary: From $55,000.00 per year
