Title: Human Resources Assistant

Base Salary Range: $41,600 - $47,840 plus benefits

FTE : Full-time, Non-Exempt

General Summary:

The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance HRIS entry, and recruitment efforts. Provides assistance with and facilitates the human resources process at all SCFHC’s locations. This position must provide a wide range of administrative support, including possessing the ability to interact with staff (at all levels) and be able to work in a fast-paced and sometimes pressured environment, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient. This position assists the HR Director with day-to-day operations, and record management and provides clerical support to all employees. \

  • Assisting with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties.
  • Assist, and maintain personnel-related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, classifications, and employee leaves of absence.
  • Prepares audit files and copies of required credentialing documentation.
  • Assist with new hire and benefits orientation and annual open enrollment.
  • Completes I-9 verifications in a timely manner.
  • Maintains filing system and files all personnel documentation as appropriate.
  • Responds to reference checks and verifications of employment status.
  • Explains company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants. Handles employment application intake.
  • Performs HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance.
  • Examines employee files to answer inquiries and provide information for personnel actions.
  • Maintains calendars, for the general HR email box and HR Director.
  • Maintains HR events, agendas and meeting minutes.
  • Assist with the recruitment process.
  • Answers questions regarding physicals, immunization, training, eligibility, salaries, benefits, and other pertinent information
  • Compiles and prepares reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities.
  • Tracks and updates employee’s physical, licenses, and immunization records.
  • Provides support with Worker’s Compensation claims.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • AA Degree or preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Effective HR administration and people management skills.
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  • Good written and oral communication skills, excellent phone and people skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Bilingual and Bi-literate Spanish/English preferred

Licensure and Certifications

  • SHRM preferred.
