Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The Dental Receptionist will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, managing patient appointments, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a dental or medical office setting and possess strong administrative and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance coverage and collect necessary co-pays or payments
- Maintain accurate patient records, including personal information, medical history, and treatment plans
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Assist with billing and insurance claims processing
- Coordinate with dental providers to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient office operations
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in dental or medical administration is a plus
- Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist, Medical Receptionist, or similar role
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance protocols
- Proficiency in using dental practice management software (e.g., Epic) is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated
