Clinicare Medical Center is Hiring a Medical Receptionist/Front Office Coordinator Near North Miami, FL

The Medical Receptionist/Front Office Coordinator is the first person to welcome and greet patients both on the phone and in-person in our office. This person will manage patient registration and collection of copays, scheduling of appointments (office visits, specialist visits, and other necessary medical care services), referral services and retrieval of medical reports from other providers. All work will be done within our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet visitors and patients in our office with kindness and grace.
  • Answer phones in a timely manner and direct calls to appropriate staff or resolve requests as needed.
  • Receive and route messages, correspondence and administrative documents to the appropriate staff.
  • Manage daily patient and physician scheduling using our EMR system.
  • Check in patients by ensuring medical records have been pulled, demographics and eligibility verified/updated, forms completed, and co-pay/outstanding balances collected (when necessary).
  • Check out patients by scheduling return appointments and providing additional information as needed.
  • Schedule patient care activities in the office and with other specialty care.
  • Confirm appointments the day prior to a patient’s appointment.
  • Manage and maintain current, patient medical records, by continuously updating personal and financial patient information and signatures from patients as determined by Medicare, State and Federal guidelines.
  • Verify referrals and perform pre-certifications as appropriate.
  • Type, mail, email and/or fax correspondence as needed including sending patient letters, new patient paperwork, etc.
  • Manage various work queues in EMR as needed.
  • All other clerical duties as assigned.

Desired Experience and Education

  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) required.
  • Must be able to communicate professionally with all staff, patients, and other entities that have business with CMC.
  • Committed and responsible to the providing the best care and service to CMC patients.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and maintain organized.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and excellent customer service at all times, with no exception.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance.
  • Proficient computer skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
