Job Description:

This role will be responsible for working with onsite community leadership of transitioning communities and focus communities to develop strategic sales plans, and drive sales initiatives to meet or exceed sales goals and specific occupancy targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Work specifically with newly acquired transitioning and focus communities assigned to implement sales strategies, improve occupancy goals and deliver exceptional sales results.
  • Develops and implements strategic marketing plans for communities being supported by this role. These detailed plans must be refined quarterly for review by the Divisional Director of Sales/Marketing.
  • Collaborate with community-based team to maximize revenue and meet both short and long-term sales objectives for identified communities.
  • Establish and maintain community presence by traveling to and working from the community as identified by strategic necessity to lead sales efforts and drive sales excellence in assigned communities.
  • Ensure Sales activities are implemented in a proactive, not reactive, environment while leading the implementation of Sonida Senior Living’s policies and procedures.
  • Establish and enforce key sales targets for lead development, lead conversion to tours, tour conversion to deposits and move ins, and overall occupancy by community assigned.
  • Work to provide the sales activities and results necessary to achieve and exceed the Community’s sales and move- in goals to continuously maximize occupancy. Oversees adherence to the Sales Expectations and Metrics, in tandem with the Divisional Director of Sales.
  • Reviews and oversees implementation of the community specific quarterly action plans and competitive analysis, weekly/monthly secret shop results, sales reports and community compliance with SSL Signature Programs.
  • Communicates with the assigned community leaders and Regional/Division team about necessary improvements needed to reach sales targets.
  • Identify key referral sources to determine what services are currently being used; how many referrals they have made and provide guidance on outreach and networking events involving the referral sources.
  • Works with the Executive Director and other Department Managers to establish an exchange of information on sales’ issues that impact other departments. Provide schedule of move ins upon confirmation.
  • Ensures a smooth transition for new Residents transitioning from the sales process through the move-in process. Work with Community Leaders and Team Members to ensure new Residents are oriented to the Community to include the team, services and programs.

Education and Experience:

  • At least 7-10 years of proven sales leadership and expertise in the senior living or hospitality industry
  • Undergraduate degree preferred

Skill/ knowledge requirements:

  • Familiarity with CRM-based software applications used in capturing sales data and word processing. Additional experience with any or all of the following is a plus: Presentation software such as PowerPoint, spreadsheet software such as Excel, email and Internet functions.
  • Meet continuing education requirements and certifications on job classification and position, including state requirements.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.
  • Ability to communicate and work within all levels of the Company while following reporting paths.
  • Ability to recognize and communicate problems appropriately.
  • Demonstrates ability to supervise.
  • Ability to relate to the public, Residents, families, staff team members and other professionals appropriately.
  • Ability to teach/train others effectively.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet the requirements of the job..
  • Maintains car in good working order, has a current driver’s license and current auto insurance.
  • Ability to show demonstrate organizational and time management skills while maintaining accurate records.
