Job Summary

As our Catering Executive Sous Chef, you'll be at the forefront of our culinary operations, providing onsite expertise for a diverse range of catering events, from casual drop-offs to upscale galas. You'll have the opportunity to showcase your creativity by developing unique and cuisine-appropriate menus, ensuring every event is a culinary delight.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal and external clients to manage the catering process from start to finish.
- Maintain culinary and service standards, ensuring recipe compliance and food quality.
- Foster and maintain client relationships alongside the Catering Manager.
- Create and execute unique, cuisine-appropriate menus.
- Work with the Catering Manager to establish menu prices and optimize revenue.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue and decrease costs through effective waste management and cost control measures.
- Recruit and train kitchen staff in food preparation, safety, and sanitation.
- Manage inventory to ensure product availability while staying within established guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations.
Qualifications:
- B.S. Degree in Culinary Arts, Food Services Technology/Management/or related field; or A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts with additional specialized training
- 3-5 years of relevant culinary experience
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and oral/written communication skills
- Knowledge of food cost and how it pertains to a kitchen, product and quality identification
- Knowledge of food and industry trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, safety, food cost controls, and presentation
