This position typically works from 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Monday - Friday. This position requires you to be in the office. No remote work is available.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

Assists customers in all phases of the order process from initial order placement through final shipment. Coordinates with other departments regarding customer problems and issues.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

1. Procures new orders, revision request orders and other order requests from customers and enters orders into the system.
2. Assists customers in resolving issues with orders, including delivery dates, quality or changes in requirements. Works with Quality Assurance, Production Planning, Engineering or Operations to resolve issues needing their input or assistance.
3. Serves as liaison between the Company and end customers including: advising customers of pricing and ship dates, tracking the status of orders in the system and informing Production Planning of customer requests regarding priority of orders.
4. Generates new work, customer and contract RFQ packages. Initiates RFQ, tracks package and works with Engineering to ensure timely turn-around.
5. Interfaces with Production Planning with all phases of new order approval and revisions to order delivery schedules and quantities.
6. Solicits inside sales by prospecting new work from existing customers.
7. Generates sales-related reports regarding bookings, history or shipments as required.
8. Generates RMA’s and DCA’s and holds meetings as required.
9. Conducts new product review meetings as required.
10. Performs all other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required. Prefer Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
• Requires a minimum of 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment (prefer sales, production control or planning experience). Prior experience in a sheet metal facility is preferred. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Demonstrated problem-solving, organizational conflict management and negotiation skills. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications. Strong mathematical skills.
• Computer skills including prior experience with personal computers (and accompanying programs), networks and ERP systems. Demonstrated skills using word processing software and spreadsheets.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Working Conditions

• Normal office conditions with some exposure to environmental conditions such as noise, dust, heat, fumes or dirt as may be found in a manufacturing facility. 

Decision-Making / Confidentiality

• Moderate level of independent judgement and decision making. Many decisions based on established policies and procedures.
• Moderate exposure to confidential data regarding customer products and pricing.
