Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Maintenance Mechanic to join our manufacturing facility team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing complex manufacturing equipment, including lasers, fabricators, press brakes, and automated powder coat paint lines. You will also be responsible for facility maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, piping, and preventative maintenance. 

Responsibilities:

- Conduct routine inspections of all machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance

- Perform preventative maintenance on all machinery and equipment to reduce downtime and increase longevity

- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex machinery and equipment issues

- Repair and/or replace defective or damaged machinery and equipment parts

- Maintain and repair facility infrastructure including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and piping systems

- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, and technical manuals

- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures

- Train and supervise maintenance staff members 

Requirements

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance or related field

- Strong understanding of complex machinery, including lasers, fabricators, press brakes, and automated powder coat paint lines

- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and piping systems

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, and technical manuals

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Supervisory experience preferred

Working Conditions

• Constant exposure to one or more elements typically found in a manufacturing setting such as noise, dust, heat, fumes or dirt, which may not be desirable. In some areas, exposure to hazards may require the use of personal protective equipment.

Supervision

• Limited responsibility for employees of the department under the guidance of the Plant Manager. 

Decision-Making / Confidentiality

• High level of independent judgement and decision making within Company policies to resolve operational problems and to determine maintenance processes and procedures.
• Moderate exposure to confidential data such as employee information, product design information and work center rates.
