Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Porter/Maintenance professional to join our team. As a Porter/Maintenance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and functionality of our facilities. This position requires excellent customer service skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to effectively maintain and repair equipment. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, painting, and minor repairs
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of common areas, including lobbies, hallways, and restrooms
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents
- Conduct inspections to identify any maintenance issues or safety hazards
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of events and meetings
- Operate and maintain various equipment and tools
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient completion of tasks
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
Experience:
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment
- Familiarity with schematics and logic controllers is a plus
- Basic welding skills are desirable
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with staff and residents
- Strong leadership abilities to effectively manage tasks and prioritize workload
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal
- Experience working with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is a bonus
