Shoppa's Material Handling is Hiring a Training Manager Near Fort Worth, TX

The Learning and Development Manager will identify and monitor training needs in the organization, plan, and implement training programs, policies, and procedures to fulfill those needs. Responsibilities include identifying training needs based on skills gap analyses, developing group and individual learning courses, and managing the training budget. Your role will involve managing the full training cycle, from needs assessment to program delivery and evaluation. Effectively manage the training department of 2-4 as measured by established KPI’s. This opportunity represents Shoppa’s Material Handling and requires professionalism, strong communication skills, attention to detail, great attitude, and outstanding presentation skills.

Essential Functions:

  • Organize and oversee all corporate training from curriculum design to effective delivery across both technical and management staff and across multiple locations
  • Reviews existing training programs; suggests enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of clientele and the organization.
  • Ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective.
  • Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the organization and/or industry.
  • Identifies problems and opportunities such as operational changes or industry developments that training could improve.
  • Conducts or facilitates required and recommended training sessions.
  • Collaborates with vendors and third-party training providers to arrange employee registration for and participation in outside training programs.
  • Ensures that training milestones and goals are met while adhering to approved training budget.
  • Prepares and implements training budget.
  • Align and plan training programs based on business goals and needs; new product rollouts; safety
  • Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results, continuous improvement
  • Implement coaching sessions and mentorship programs to establish a culture of continuous learning
  • Partner with HR to train and coach managers, supervisors and others involved in employee development efforts
  • Maintain positive and proactive relationships with colleagues, managers, executives, and vendors
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Learning and Development, Communications or related field
  • Min. three years of experience in training with one year of supervisory experience required
  • Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential preferred
  • Some travel required to Branches to develop relationships and ensure effective training coordination and delivery
  • Ability to moderate large groups
  • Application of traditional and modern training methods (including workshops, simulations, e-learning, and coaching)
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Proficient in Learning Management Systems (LMS); MS office 360 products
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
