Shimmick is seeking a highly talented Accounts Payable & Receivable Manager based out of Denver, CO.

Responsibilities

Typical Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Trains new AP team members and current team members in learning new processes and procedures
• Create new, independent contractor vendors in accounting system by gathering all required information
• Weekly/Bi-weekly payment runs
• Assist with 1099 process
• Respond to vendor inquiries and troubleshoot issues
• Assist AP Specialists with day-to-day accounts payable functions, includes being back up when they are out
• Projects as given by Senior Accounts Payable Manager
• Provides guidance to employees within the latitude of established policies.
• Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization.
• Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including understanding of current business trends.
• Acts as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.
• May have budget responsibilities. Erroneous decision or failure to achieve results adds to costs and may impact short-term goals of organization.
• Manages the coordination of activities of a group or department with responsibility for results. In some instances, may be responsible for functional area and does not have direct reports or subordinate employees.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications:

• Supervisory experience desired
• Intermediate Excel skills
• High level of customer service orientation, strong communication with both internal and external customers
• Can work well both independently and on a team
• Highly analytical mind and not afraid to dive deep into the details and solve problems
• Always maintains a positive and professional attitude
• Detail and deadline oriented
• Ability to multi-task

The salary range for this position is between $95,000.00 - 110,000 per year depending on experience and/or education.

These benefits are available to all employees working more than 20 hours per week. Employees working less than 20 hours per week are eligible for medical, dental and vision coverage as well as EAP services.
