Seventh Sense Consulting, LLC is Hiring a Remote Business Development and Capture Specialist

Seventh Sense Consulting (SSC) is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to support our Corporate Development Organization. The BDR will work with internal Corporate Development staff, business units Service Delivery Executive’s and outside vendors/partners to help execute against the SSC Service Delivery, Information Technology (IT) and Program Management (PMO) service offerings growth goals. The BDR will be responsible for managing the Identification and Qualification of opportunities aligned to SSC's strategic growth goals as well as manage partnerships aligned to that growth. Tasks associated with this role will include, qualification gate reviews, teaming analysis, scope definition, partner management, attending networking events, posting to social media, and other BD related activities.
 
What You'll Do:

  • Proactively generate leads through market research and industry networking
  • Enter and maintain opportunities in company CRM (Salesforce)
  • Qualify leads by developing and presenting the opportunities at phase/gate reviews for approval
  • Contact potential partners and clients through cold calls and emails
  • Set and attend meetings with SSC executives and potential partners and clients
  • Develop new teaming agreements with strategic partners
  • Build long term strategic relationships with partners and potential clients
  • Execute new subcontracts with billable positions with teaming partners
  • Represent SSC at conferences, events, and on company social media platforms
  • Obtains market as well as competitive intelligence and develops teaming strategies
  • Participates in the capture and proposal process providing teaming solutions, win theme and pain point support, “voice of the customer” intelligence, and review support as needed

 
Must Haves:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • 4 years of Business Development experience with professional services contracts
  • Strong business acumen that demonstrates an understanding of business issues and linking solutions to business development strategies
  • Demonstrated evidence of successful business development experience.
  • Knowledge of the industry capture and proposal process.
  • Understanding of public sector procurement and business development processes.
  • Requires a thorough knowledge of the market, competitors, and potential teaming partners.
  • Experience working with other companies that provide professional services, Acquisition, Program Management, SETA, Logistics, IT, Cyber Security and or other related services that Federal agencies require.
Nice to Haves:
 
  • Experience with CRM tools highly desired
  • Shipley Capture Training highly desired
