Description

SEES Group, LLC is looking for a new Business Development Manager to join our team!

The Business Development Manager is responsible for calling on the Optometric network, building positive
relations between the co-managing doctor and our Practice, and interfacing between our Practice and the Optometric
practices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following:

  • Aggressively stimulate, review and monitor all outreach activity.
  • Drive revenue and profitability objectives.
  • Report annual, quarterly, and monthly practice production forecasts and performance actuals.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the physician practice outreach efforts and implement changes.
  • Develop business relationships with optometric network, primary care physicians and other potential
  • co-managing providers.
  • Lead new doctor launches; includes developing a launch project plan with year one projections, recruiting
  • the cross-functional launch team, leading and managing the team to meet established KPI, communicating
  • with stakeholders and reporting results.
  • Identify opportunities to sustain or increase growth at existing centers through sales and marketing efforts.
  • Identify inefficiencies, risks, competitive threats, and trends that could threaten the business, proactively
  • seek solutions.
  • Track competitor strategies and activities.
  • Build business development framework that is repeatable and scalable.
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient, employee and company information
  • Reacts productively to change.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has supervisory responsibility for the Business Development/ Marketing functional areas.

  • 10 years of leadership in Business Development, Sales, and Marketing for a large multi-site
  • healthcare organization.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to quickly aggregate and analyze information and draw conclusions
  • Strong communicator; capable of effectively presenting ideas and selling concepts and tactics;
  • demonstrated negotiation skills; excellent writer, proven ability to communicate effectively with
  • executive-levels; ability to quickly understand needs and act on those needs; ability to conceptualize and
  • effectuate change management and ‘out-of-the-box’ thinking.
  • Proven ability to build cross-functional relationships and lead toward common goals.
  • Demonstrated leadership and hands-on experience, strong leader and motivator with the ability to
  • mentor talent within the organization; able to provide work direction; able to attract and retain top
  • talent.
  • Demonstrable track record of success leading external sales professionals
  • Ability to work closely and team effectively and tactfully with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time and work some evenings.
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Good computer skills including use of standard office programs
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment
  • Ability to concentrate, think, and learn
  • Ability to hear, see, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and handle

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field is preferred; equivalent
education and/or experience in job related activities will be considered. Applicants with business development
within a multi-location healthcare practice are preferred.
