Job Description:

The HR Manager assumes a pivotal role as a strategic business partner, facilitator, and liaison overseeing all HR-related activities within the retail locations. This professional is accountable for providing comprehensive support across various departments and store operations. Managing a team of HR personnel, the HR Manager directs day-to-day administrative support functions. Proactively engaged in the development, maintenance, and enforcement of HR policies and procedures, this position ensures consistency across the organization.

Responsibilities also extend to actively assisting managers and employees in talent acquisition, performance management, and addressing employee relations matters. Overseeing orientation and onboarding programs, the HR Manager intervenes when necessary, contributing to a seamless integration process. Working closely with the Director of Human Resources, this role exemplifies a commitment to maintaining high HR standards and fostering a positive and compliant work environment.

Essential Qualifications:

The following qualifications are essential for success in this role:

  • Providing active and visible leadership for all retail location by facilitating activities that directly impact the business.
  • Supervising and assisting other members of the HR team in the day-to-day administrative support functions.
  • Overseeing the talent acquisition process of identifying, sourcing, and screening candidates for the organization.
  • Responsible for overseeing the orientation and onboarding programs and stepping in as needed.
  • Developing, maintaining, and ensuring consistency with our HR practices, policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Facilitating change management processes.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Assisting with and providing guidance on annual reviews and individual development plans.
  • Assisting with the Director of Human Resources in employee relations issues, including performance and policy related issues to maximize productivity and employee morale while maintaining adverse impact to the company.
  • Administering, interpreting, and making recommendations on company HR policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Assisting with projects or initiatives as needed.
  • Assisting management and employees on compensation related matters.
  • Ability to demonstrate independent judgement and decision-making capabilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree, with a minimum of 3-5 years of HR management experience.
  • Proficient in English, with additional proficiency in Spanish considered a valuable asset.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Reliable transportation is a must.
