JOB SUMMARY:
The Process Safety Management (PSM) Site Coordinator is responsible for managing a site-wide Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management compliance program. This individual will work across all company functions to ensure the Process Safety Management and Risk Management System strategies are maintained and compliant with all appropriate health, safety, and environmental standards, rules and/or regulations. These responsibilities include day-to-day programs as well as project work related to various PSM/RMP elements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for overall compliance with OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) and EPA
Risk Management (RMP) regulations.
Define PSM/RMP responsibilities for each company work group and coordinate departmental
compliance with these responsibilities.
Develop and implement continual improvement programs associated with PSM/RMP and loss
prevention.
Conduct or coordinate internal and third-party audits of the PSM/RMP programs.
Support government inspections or regulatory audits related to the PSM/RMP programs as the
resident expert on PSM/RMP regulatory requirements.
Ensure identified safety and risk issues in the plant are comprehensively evaluated using
appropriate tools such as Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), Failure Mode and Effects
Analysis (FMEA), or 4M4E.
Manage site safety & operations training, including: monthly safety training program and
operations skills training programs
Develop, track, and report to management Key Performance Indicators for PSM/RMP and
training programs.
Support KSA HAZMAT team by coordinating required training and certification for KSA DOT
regulated employees, managing assets assigned to HAZMAT program, and coordinating KSA
HAZMAT responsibilities with outside agencies.
Active role in management of other KSA Health and Safety programs as required by HS&E
resource availability.
Be aware of and follow all emergency, evacuation, spill response and general personal
protection policies and procedures according to the situation at hand which includes knowledge
of the location of MSDS information sheets and who to ask about safety/protective matters.
