Ø Daily Process Monitoring: Communicate unit performance and optimization opportunities. Assist troubleshooting efforts with unit upsets, product quality incidents, not meeting production plans, etc. Know / understand the process fully to identify constraints.
Ø Update Process Key Performance Indicators (KPI) calculations included as part of the management reporting (material balance, exchanger fouling, chemical program evaluation and optimization)
Ø Develop justification and work scope for TAR and routine maintenance (i.e., exchanger cleaning)
Ø Support / review operations procedures for start-up and shutdown
Ø Review / approve vendor chemical programs.
Ø Lead/Participate in the MOC (Management of Change) process.
Ø Develop and lead reliability improvement tactics across the facility.
Ø Collect and analyze equipment reliability performance data.
Ø Work with technical disciplines, operations, and maintenance to identify opportunities for improving capacity utilization. Examples of options include repairing or replacing equipment, changing operating guidelines, and revising maintenance practices and procedures.
Ø Support investigations of equipment failures
Ø Create and maintain tracking process for the bad equipment actors at the plant.
Ø Work with the plant's maintenance staff to create and update preventative maintenance plans.
Ø Lead continuous technical improvement activities.
Ø Small to medium capital project process engineering support
Ø Manage the plant's corrosion risk.
Ø Daily interaction and communication with Operations and Maintenance groups
Ø Alarm rationalization participation
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
v Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
v Minimum of 7 years of Refinery/Petrochemical/Chemical operational experience
v Related experience in reliability maintenance (including at a minimum causal learning/failure analysis and understanding of execution processes (turnaround and routine maintenance) would be helpful.
v Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
v Demonstrated skill of working with teams to achieve a common goal.
v Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance short and long-term process and reliability initiatives.
