Job Title: Director of Human Resources

JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Human Resources will plan, lead, direct, develop and coordinate the policies, activities and staff of the Human Resources department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization's mission and talent strategy.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Recruits, interviews, hires and trains new staff in the Human Resources department
• Oversees the daily workflow of the Human Resources department
• Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
• Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruiting (Domestic and International):
• Attracts, hires, and retains the highest caliber of personnel for the company
• Oversees recruiting and screening of all candidates for employment from clerical level to top management

Training & Development:
• Oversees initial training and continuing development of all employees
• Works with the Training Manager to administer and continue to improve new-employee orientation
• Assists Department Managers in developing Supervisory Development programs and Succession Planning
• Oversees documentation of employee training and management of training records

Internship and H-2B Programs:
• Oversees and administers internship and H-2B programs including: recruiting, hiring, placing, training, housing, and transportation for domestic and international employees
• Works with Department Managers in Hospitality (Front Desk, Inn), F&B (Culinary, Front-of-House), Recreation, and Golf to provide intern training experiences that meet the interns' academic requirements

Employee Housing:
• Develops and administers housing and transportation resources for all interns and H-2B employees
• Ensures rent obligations are met by employees
• Oversees pre-arrival and monthly inspections of employee housing

Compensation and Benefits:
• Administers the wage and salary system through ADP, analyzes wage and salary data to maintain a competitive compensation plan, and recommends modifications to the Executive Team and corporate officers
• Oversees payroll administration for all employees
• Administers the insurance and benefits programs including Group Health Insurance, 401(k), short and long-term disability, Workers' Compensation, Section 125 Cafeteria Plan, C.O.B.R.A., Family & Medical Leave, Employee Assistance Program, and drug-free workplace
