Scott Management is Hiring a Regional Property Manager Near Alexandria, VA

Scott Management, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Property Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of properties. The Regional Property Manager will be responsible for leading site teams of the assigned properties to successful operational and financial performance, including maintaining the highest standards of building care and a superior resident experience.

KEY REPONSIBILITIES:

  • Property Operations: Direct and oversee the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of properties, including but not limited to leasing, maintenance, vendor management, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage property budgets, analyze financial reports, and implement cost-effective strategies to maximize property performance.
  • Resident Relations: Foster positive resident relationships, address inquiries and concerns, and ensure a high level of satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, supervise and lead property management staff, providing guidance and growth opportunities to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Property Inspections: Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety, maintenance, and curb appeal standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with industry trends, as well as with local, state, and federal regulations and ensure properties are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including Fair Housing, Employment, and Collections practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Real Estate, or related field preferred.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in property management, with at least 2 years in a regional or multi-site management role.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and experience with budgeting and financial analysis.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
  • Proven track record of achieving operational and financial goals within a property management environment.
  • Knowledge of local landlord-tenant laws and fair housing regulations.

DUTIES:

  • Oversee and lead the entire operation of a diverse portfolio, to include:
  • Rent Increase processes
  • Final Account Statements
  • Leasing application and approval process, as well as new resident orientation
  • Accounts Payable
  • Improvement projects including vision, scope and execution.
  • Marketing, Outreach, & Pricing
  • Budget preparation and control
  • Property Inspections
  • Talent management, incl. recruitment, onboarding, training/development/evaluations, retention
  • Customer service
  • Maintenance operations
