Electrical Proficiency :

Solid grasp of Ohm's Law, multimeter utilization, and AC / DC currents.Ability to decipher blueprints and circuit diagrams.

Aptitude in electrical troubleshooting on intricate machinery (subject to TESTING during the process).

Mechanical Expertise :

Interpretation of drawings, schematics, and manuals.Proficient in mechanical repairs, mathematics, and machine shop operations.

Preventative maintenance skills, showcasing high-level proficiency (subject to TESTING).

Independent Work and Communication :

Ability to work autonomously in unsupervised settings.Coordination of travel details and adept communication with the team.

Commitment to long-term employment with the ability to explain any career transitions.

Openness to Extensive Travel :

Willingness to travel for up to 5 consecutive days with 2 days off or 10 days with 4 days off.

Experience in Food and Meat Processing :

Familiarity with cold environments and equipment challenges.

Field Service Technician Background :

Previous experience in a similar role, encompassing installations and troubleshooting.

Packaging Machines Familiarity :

Prior experience with packaging machines, ideally thermoformers or vacuum sealing.

Military Experience :

Military background, especially in mechanical or electrical roles, is beneficial.

Stable Job History :

Preferably not more than 2 jobs in the last 5 years or 3 jobs in the last 7 years.

Customer-Focused Skills :

Proven experience handling demanding customers in challenging scenarios.Maintaining professionalism under pressure.

Troubleshooting Expertise :

Previous experience resolving issues compounded by unsuccessful prior repair attempts.

Physical Prowess :

Capable of performing physically challenging work in high-stress and noisy situations.

Other Relevant Experience :

Skills in various areas, including field service, military service, packaging, plant management, robotics, industrial machinery installations, hand / power tools, maintenance technician, electrician, and traveling.

Overview : Field Service Technicians provide mechanical and technical support for our Award-Winning Client's processing and packaging equipment at customer facilities.

The position focuses on troubleshooting, repairs, customer communication, and training sessions.

Time Utilization : This role involves extensive travel, primarily in Texas and surrounding states. Technicians need flexibility, willingness to work outside normal hours, and adaptability to changing schedules.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Act as a communication link between the customer and our Award-Winning Client.
• Efficiently make travel arrangements within company policy guidelines.
• Complete service documentation and submit reports and expenses promptly.
• Conduct training sessions for customers on equipment operations.
• Regularly update the regional scheduler on job status.
• Troubleshoot and install complex packaging and processing equipment.

Education / Experience : Associate degree or equivalent technical school diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering.

Two years of field service, packaging, maintenance, or related experience. Electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and machine shop skills are required.

Work Environment : Our Award-Winning Client serves various industries, often in challenging environments such as freezing and messy conditions.

Physical Demands : This role is physically demanding, requiring standing, walking, manual dexterity, lifting up to 50lbs, and visual acuity.
