Schneider Geomatics is Hiring an Accounting Specialist Near Indianapolis, IN
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
- Minimum four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in reading and interpreting documents such as contracts.
- Proficient with ERP systems (Deltek Vantagepoint, preferred).
- Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Excellent verbal and written skills required.
- Must have a strong work-ethic and good attention to detail.
- Must be professional and demonstrate a positive attitude.
- On a daily basis, research and input cash receipts data into the company's ERP application and verify by comparison to the bank deposit. Distributes edit lists to Accounting Manager and various department heads.
- Lead the collections effort of the company by identifying invoices past due and missing comments in the Deltek Reporting system. Call and email clients and provide status updates on anything outstanding.
- Assists the Accounting Manager and department heads in interpreting and resolving accounts receivable problems with clients.
- Create and analyze AR reports and Dashboards to help identify collection issues.
- Upload invoices to portal for select clients. Confirm all invoices are sent out monthly to valid contacts.
- Enter projects and update billing terms.
- Assist with year-end audit preparation.
