Schaefer is Hiring a Staff Accountant Near Cincinnati, OH
Schaefer, a nationally recognized and growing structural engineering firm, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented staff accountant to join our finance team in Cincinnati Ohio.

This position reports to our Finance Accounting Director and is part of a team that supports the firm by performing the following duties:
- Prepare monthly financial reports and financial analysis
- Perform month-end close journal entries and reconciliations
- Extract transform financial data; produce insights driven reporting
- Utilize technology to improve processes to increase efficiency
- Process management of accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Process payroll and employee expense reports and the related accounting entries
- Lead special projects and assist the Finance Accounting Director as needed
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelors degree in accounting with 2 years related experience
- Attention to detail is critical
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to professionally interact with people at all levels of the organization
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel required (vlookup, index match, pivot tables, macros); experience in financial software is preferred
- Ability to manage and prioritize deadlines for multiple projects
- Customer service focused team player
