SBF Search is Hiring an Account Manager Near Grove, OH

One of the largest and fastest growing providers of commercial mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) services in the US is seeking an Account Manager for their territory in the Columbus Metro Area. The company creates value by partnering with established businesses, allowing owner-operators to operate independently while providing resources and assistance to grow revenue and increase profitability.

Compensation commensurate with experience, with a base range of $85K-$100K, plus commission.

The Account Manager will be responsible for fostering growth in existing clients by establishing and retaining the relationship and providing outstanding customer service by identifying and meeting all their mechanical, electrical, and plumbing requests. Candidates will be considered based on a proven track record in direct sales in the commercial and industrial HVAC, Building Automation, Elevator or related Facilities Services industry.

Key Deliverables:

  • Develop and maintain strategic long-term relationships with customers to accomplish organic growth and long-term company objectives.
  • Develop new sales opportunities, as well as grow existing customers and support the partners' sales teams.
  • Work with the corporate team to identify and executive initiatives that foster profitable growth and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the customers’ position in the market, their product/service, points of difference and competitive landscape.
  • Manage customer input and feedback for all projects with detailed direction and timelines.
  • Manage RFP proposals to deliver wins.
  • Facilitate execution as a strategic orchestrator, ensuring delivery on the promises made, and the results customers expect.
  • Establish and build strong working relationships with business leaders at all levels.
  • As necessary, visit customers, attend trade shows and other industry events to capitalize on networking and relationship-building opportunities.
  • Proactively remain connected to customers and the ever-changing market to access new search opportunities and ensure all viable customers are engaged on a regular and effective basis.
  • Influence customers to make the right business decision by persuading collaboratively and by helping them see the financial and non-financial impact of their decisions to their organizations.
  • Responsible for the solicitation of project documents and information.

Skills and Experience:

  • 3 years of commercial or industrial direct sales experience
  • Demonstrable sales results
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent networking and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines.
  • Problem-solving and negotiation aptitude
  • Proven ability to contribute in a fast-paced environment consistently and positively.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customer leaders of all levels (C-level down to entry-level support roles)
  • Ability to work independently and manage personal time, keeping deliverables and deadlines top of mind.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving aptitude
  • Strong writing, phone, and presentation skills
  • Willingness to meet customers on site.
