Position: Mental Health Counselor
Job Type: Full Time
Location: Colorado Springs Colorado 
Compensation: $57,000 - $68,000 Annually 
Licensure Requirements: Colorado Clinical or Provisional License - (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) (LPCC, LSW, MFTC,) If you are currently licensed in another state, you must be able to transfer your license to Colorado before your start date.
  • Relocation assistance may be offered to eligible candidates based on their geographical location.
About The Role:
You are skilled in using various evidence-based and holistic approaches to provide personalized and effective care. You are not afraid to face difficult situations and emotions, and you are ready to support your clients through their recovery journey.
As a therapist at Sandstone Care, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide compassionate and essential care to your clients, guiding them through their recovery journey and helping them achieve their goals. You will build trusting and meaningful relationships with your clients and empower them to overcome their challenges and reach their full potential.
  • Provide individual sessions tailored to each client's needs, using the best practices and evidence-based interventions in the field. You will assess and diagnose your clients and design personalized treatment plans that align with their strengths and preferences. You will use a variety of approaches, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and family therapy, to help your clients achieve their goals and improve their well-being.
  • Develop and oversee treatment plans, tracking the progress of your clients and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic and effective approach. You will monitor and evaluate your clients' outcomes and adjust their treatment plans as needed.
Qualifications & Expectations:
  • Colorado Clinical or Provisional License - (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) (LPCC, LSW, MFTC,) If you are currently licensed in another state, you must be able to transfer your license to Colorado before your start date.
  • 2 years of experience working in an outpatient or residential treatment setting.
  • 2 years of experience treating substance use disorders or mental health disorders. 
  • You must be proficient in using clinical skills and modalities such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and documenting your work.
  • Master's Degree in a relevant field.

    • Therapists at Sandstone Care maintain 20-25 client contact hours per week to make this balance achievable.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Compensation: Earn between $57,000-$68,000 per year, depending on your qualifications and experience.
