Job Title: Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
About You Therapy is hiring a part-time to full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to treat our clients; children, adolescents and adults. We are a well-established private practice in downtown Colorado Springs. We provide insurance and fee for service based therapy for general outpatient private practice. Our clientele range from children to adults. This position is perfect for a therapist wanting to focus their time on working with clients instead of marketing and managing their own business. You show up and work and go home. We take care of the rest. Your schedule is completely your own and you can work in a beautiful Tudor style/renovated office downtown, work from home or both. We provide the referrals, insurance panel credentialling, electronic medical records, billing service, phones, receptionist and on-going clinical support both individual and group. Your focus is honing in on your craft and clinical skills while providing excellent client care. This is an expanding clinical practice and it will take time to grow your clientele base.
Duties:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with mental health disorders
- Prescribe and administer medications to patients
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Skills:
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems
- Experience in acute care settings, preferably in behavioral health
- Knowledge and experience in working with children, adolescents, adults with mental health disorders and complex medication lists
- Ability to perform physical examinations and interpret diagnostic tests
- Competence in medication administration, including injections and intravenous therapy
- Proficiency in coding using ICD-10 classification system
