Location: Denver, CO (In- Person)
Job Type: Full Time 
Reports To: VP of Admissions 
Work Environment: Call Center / Treatment Center 
Pay Range: $95,000-$120,000

Sandstone Care is a leading provider of addiction and mental health treatment for adolescents and young adults. We have a network of facilities across the country offering a range of programs and levels of care.
As the Director of Admissions, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the admissions department, which is the first point of contact for our clients and their families. You will work closely with the Vice President of Admissions and the Admissions Operations Manager to ensure that the department meets its goals and delivers an exceptional client experience.
You will also collaborate with the Business Development team to foster strong relationships with referral sources and increase referral volume and conversion rates.
As the Director of Admissions, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Lead and support a team of Admissions Managers, who supervise the Admissions Coordinators, Admissions Operations and Clinical Operations, Training Personnel, and Admissions Receptionists
  • Design, implement, and manage the admissions department’s workflows, systems, and procedures, using data analysis and quality assurance to monitor and enhance performance.
  • Contribute to growing key performance indicators (KPIs) for the admissions team, such as conversion rate, answer rate, daily activity, and time to admission.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure safe and timely access to care for clients.
  • Identify areas of improvement and forecast potential challenges, implementing solutions as needed.
  • Support recruitment efforts to hire and retain competent and trained staff.
  • Work closely with all members of the team to foster positive working relationships.
  • Maintain good public relations with families, referral agencies, and other community resources.
  • Express ideas clearly, concisely, convincingly, and effectively when addressing an audience.
  • Exercise good judgment and emotional stability in evaluating situations and making decisions, even under pressure.
  • Participate in committees, professional meetings, and staffing as necessary.
  • Serve as a liaison between Admissions and Business Development, fostering a strong relationship and ensuring smooth communication and collaboration between the two departments.
  • Follow business development referrals through the pipeline to intake, ensuring a seamless transition and exceptional client experience.
  • Work closely with and provide coaching and feedback to higher-level admission coordinators who process business development referrals, helping them improve their performance and achieve their goals.
  • Collaborate with Business Development to identify opportunities for improvement in the referral process and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Communicate regularly with Business Development to provide updates on referral status and address any issues or concerns.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to increase referral volume and improve conversion rates.
  • Represent the Admissions department in meetings and discussions with Business Development, providing valuable insights and contributing to strategic planning efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:  
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (master's degree preferred) 
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in behavioral health admissions or a related field
  • Minimum 6 years in a supervisory role related to behavioral health admissions or a related field.
  • Proven record of successful leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. 
  • Knowledge of CRM systems and workflow optimization 
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills
