RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction and supervision of the Coordinator, Behavior Services, coordinates autism services requested by Client Services, monitors vendors who provide specialized autism services funded by the Regional Center, assists with staff training in autism services, and collaborates with vendors and community agencies in the delivery of autism intervention services for clients.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Master’s Degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or related field with academic training in a recognized curriculum of the application of behavioral principles in an applied setting. Must be either a credentialed BCBA or licensed as an LCSW, LMFT, or licensed Psychologist with 12 academic units in applied behavior analysis. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the field of developmental disabilities providing services to individuals with Autism. Experience in the design and implementation of behavior interventions for individuals with developmental disabilities. Experience as a member of an interdisciplinary clinical team is required. Must have demonstrated competence in consultation and program design with peer professional staff.
OTHER
Demonstrate knowledge of ethical and legal factors in the design of behavioral programs for clients with Autism and developmental disabilities and be familiar with evidence-based behavior interventions for these individuals. Ability to consult with Client Services and families regarding the most effective intervention options given the individual’s behavioral needs. Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and their families and communicate with co-workers, community agency staff, and families.
STARTING SALARY
$36.18 to $39.80 an hour
