mon-fri 8 hours shifts OT every other weekend
This is a site safety role working on a commercial construction project. Must have 3 years of construction experience and safety certification to be considered.
SMS, OHST, CHST, ASP, CSP, OSHA 500 or similar and 3 years experience
The preferred candidate for this role would be a highly motivated, passionate, friendly. 3 years of Construction safety or industrial Experience in the field of safety and health with a heavy mix of general industry and construction experience. This is a leadership role where the successful candidate would have a passion to serve and improve others. Working with people is a major component and the successful candidate would most likely consider themselves a people person.
Conduct accident investigations. Must perform analysis of the client’s safety program to correctly identify the client’s needs. Work with clients in developing processes and procedures that effectively accomplish the goal of preventing injury. Conduct project inspections to identify and correct potential hazards on both construction and general industry projects. Perform root cause analysis and provide corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence. Write project specific safety plans and job hazard analysis as required by the client. Oversee, monitor, and ensure the completeness and accuracy of accident reports and investigations. Act as a champion of safety for the client by setting an example of good corporate ethics and promoting the culture of safety for the client.
Excellent analytical skills
Knowledge of typical construction and industry processes
Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) SMS, CSP, ASP, CHST, STS-C
Computer skills using, MS Office
Technical writing capabilities of developing policies and procedures for clients
A degree in occupational health and safety, construction management, or related area are preferred, but not required with appropriate experience.
Flexibility – Makes good decisions and achieves results during major changes in work processes, time frames, responsibilities, performance expectations, work environment.
OSHA Construction Standards CFR 1926, General Industry Standards CFR 1910

OSHA 500 preferred

Progressive Thinking – Identifies safety trends, clients’ needs, and provides the client with resources.
Per diem may be considered for the appropriate candidate.
Job Type: Full-time
40 hours per week guaranteed.
Project is currently working five days a week with Saturday every other weekend.
Salary: $30.00 /hour
