TheTransportation Safety Managerensures the Delta Employee Shuttle Service is meeting safety standards, ensures compliance with policies and procedures, rules, standards, customer requirements and governmental/DOT regulatory requirements.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

• Builds partnerships with employees and sets the example for the delivery of exceptional customer service.
• Reviews operational and safety reports to ensure the Delta Employee Shuttle Service is meeting goals and objectives and takes corrective action as required.
• Ensures compliance with policies and procedures, rules, standards, customer requirements and governmental/DOT regulatory requirements.
• Creates standard process, programs and safety related materials.
• Participates in employee relations and safety investigations when complaints or incidents arise and resolves issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Promotes and adheres to policies concerning Safety, Anti-Harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity.
• Ensure that employees are properly trained and audit safety records as needed.
• Sets, measures and manages performance of self and others. Leads team members in achieving/exceeding operational and safety goals.
• Ensures compliance with rules and standards of all relevant regulatory agencies and applicable laws.
• Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant experience in a transportation or safety role
• CDL strongly preferred
• Valid In-State Driver’s License
• High School diploma or GED required
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Must have strong organizational skills
