Detailed Job Description

• Manage RIT Community Engagement. Such activities will include but not be limited to scheduling and collaborating and presenting to and creating materials for monthly Open@RIT meetings, tri-annual advisory board meetings, monthly meetings with the Open Club Cohort and other RIT community facing efforts.
• Manages student employees and co-ops in support of OPEN@RIT infrastructure projects, including: Interviewing, evaluating, and recommending students for hire. Scheduling student work hours, and coordinating with MAGIC for payroll and administrative logistics. Working with the Director and Associate Director to develop road maps and milestones for Open@RIT projects. While this portion of the position does note require that this employee does software development directly, an solid understanding of development terminology, requirements and details is required to develop the roadmaps and milestones and be the interface between students, their clients and the associate director.
• Support public relations, media, and community outreach efforts of OPEN@RIT initiative, in conjunction and collaboration with the Director and Associate Director, when needed. Such activities might include, but are not limited to support the OPEN@RIT initiative with regular blog, wiki, and web presence postings both for Open@RIT itself and in the greater Open Work Community. Organization and presentation of OPEN@RIT presence at conferences and trade shows.
