Robert Half is hiring for a Supply Management Specialist for John Deere in Dubuque! In this role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and leading the commodity Strategic Sourcing team in developing and implementing sourcing strategies for enterprise/region/division/unit. You will be responsible for building and developing a robust supply base, procuring less complex and strategic materials, products, and services, and ensuring quality delivery and supplier performance. This position is on-site, Monday-Friday. It is an 8-hour shift during the hours of 7am-5pm. In this role, you could be a part of:Lead the development and implementation of sourcing strategies for enterprise/region/division/unit.Build and develop a supply base for procuring less complex and strategic materials, products, and services.Ensure quality delivery, supplier performance, and establish appropriate material replenishment processes.Coordinate and lead efforts to address chronic supplier performance issues and/or validate suppliers during the early supplier selection process.Facilitate quality planning activities with suppliers.Investigate availability of suppliers and materials in the marketplace and implement enterprise/division sourcing strategies.Integrate suppliers in supporting the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP) and Enterprise Order Fulfillment Process (EOFP).Lead and/or participate in multi-functional teams responsible for make vs. buy decisions, resourcing activities, and developing and implementing sourcing strategies.Support the Engineering Change Management (ECM) process to ensure timely and cost-effective implementation of design changes and product improvements.Maintain ongoing relationships with assigned suppliers to monitor and improve supplier performance.Define corrective actions and negotiate with suppliers to resolve short-term performance problems.Drive continuous improvement in performance and lowest total cost with the supply base, utilizing Achieving Excellence process/criteria and other appropriate supply management tools.Develop and execute inventory plans to achieve inventory/asset management and material flow goals.Resolve shipping, receiving, invoicing, and payment problems to ensure prompt and accurate payments to suppliers.Lead continuous cost reduction/value improvement activities focusing on Shareholder Value Added (SVA).Develop and implement communication plans to key stakeholders.Support negotiation of supply agreements with specific suppliers, resulting in cost models, implementation strategy, and documented agreements.Contact Christin, Paige, Katherine, Erin at (563) 359-3995 to learn more!
