Robert Half is hiring a Supply Management Planner for John Deere Dubuque Works! The candidate will play a critical role in optimizing supply chain operations. Working closely with suppliers, you will be responsible for scheduling requirements, implementing efficient logistics processes, and ensuring the timely delivery of purchased materials to support our production plans. You'll work with focus to achieve performance metrics such as FILL, On-Time Delivery, FLASH & Backorder Cycle Time, and Past Due orders. If you are detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about driving continuous improvement, we want to hear from you! This position is Monday-Friday, 4 days in office and 1 day working remotely.Start time for this position is between 6am-8amCompensation for this position is $23.65/hour Responsibilities:Communicate with suppliers on a day-to-day basis regarding schedule releases and material requirements.Schedule requirements for purchased material, including economic order quantities, optimal inventory levels, delivery schedules, and material replenishment.Implement optimal logistics processes and material management systems within the unit, ensuring efficient supply chain operations.Provide support services to Supply Management Specialists, including processing suppliers' non-conformances and expediting corrective actions.Collaborate with Supply Management Specialists to maintain ongoing relationships with suppliers, monitor supplier performance, and define corrective actions as needed.Execute inventory plans using system parameters and material replenishment strategies to achieve inventory management and material flow goals.Drive continuous improvement in supplier performance through the Achieving Excellence process and criteria.Manage logistics requirements for suppliers, including containers, packaging methods, and parameters, and negotiate agreements on appropriate logistics processes.Resolve shipping and receiving problems promptly to ensure accurate and timely payments to suppliers.
