There is a terrific permanent position available for an experienced Staff/Senior Accountant at Robert Half. As a staff/senior accountant, you will be in charge of preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, various aspects of internal reporting will be under your responsibility. Lend your skills towards developing and implementing accounting policies. Based in the Towson or Columbia, Maryland area on a hybrid basis, this role is a career-building, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work.Responsibilities- Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting- Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting- Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations- Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable- Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments- Partake in various department-wide initiatives- Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries- Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP- Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision- Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll- Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks- Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
