NYC based eCommerce/FinTech client is looking to hire a Senior Accountant to their team. This position will be 3 days in their office, so they are seeking locally based candidates only.This position will have full ownership of the general accounting, cash flow management, month end close and financial statement preparation for their US operations.Responsibilities:• Support the Financial Control & Accounting function for the US.• Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the US entity such as cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.• Lead the monthly close process and manage intricate components within it, including journal entry preparation/review, analysis and review of revenue, expense and balance sheet accountso Review finance team’s monthly balance sheet reconciliations for accuracy and completeness.o Conduct monthly analysis of financial results, including providing valuable insights to both the team and key stakeholders.o Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure accurate and timely month end close• Work with external accountants to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and implement necessary adjustments.• Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting• Provide support in year-end audits as well as preparation of schedules for external auditors.• Work closely with the Strategic Finance team to analyze actuals and implications on future results, including identifying any areas for cost savings and process improvements.• Act as a key finance stakeholder and engage with the stakeholders in the US region to understand and respond to issues relating to business performance.Please send resumes directly to saravana.velayutham@roberthalfIf you are already working with one of my Permanent Placement colleagues in the Tristate area, please reach out to them about this position quoting Job Reference number: 02940-0012902456
