A friendly national firm is seeking a new legal assistant for their LA office. This is a new legal assistant position the firm is adding due to growth. My team has worked with this firm for years, and we have placed two legal assistants here – both of whom still happily work at the firm.This person will be responsible for a variety of legal assistant and paralegal tasks. This legal assistant will handle both employment and commercial litigation. This legal assistant will be responsible for:State and federal court filingsCalendaringDocument formatting – TOA, TOC, motions, briefs, etc.Assisting with discoveryPreparing for trials, hearings, depositions, etc. (trial binders, notebooks, lists of witnesses and exhibits, etc.)The ideal legal assistant will have at least 3 years of litigation experience, although 5 years is preferred.
