Robert Half is working with commercial property company in the San Fernando Valley to help find a new Lead Network Engineer who will be responsible for managing multiple managers as well as technicians and engineers. The ideal Lead Network Engineer candidate will have the following:

-Extensive staff management including ability to monitor performance against objectives, ensure customer service, manage tickets, task lists, stay on top of emails, calls and all other types of communication,

Identify, evaluate, and deploy technical solutions to resolve business problems

-Extensive experience working with vendors to identify products and technologies, research options, report bugs, solve problems, and build long term relationships.

-Extensive project management experience including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, manage scope, monitor performance against objectives, develop WBS, identify stakeholders, manage collaboration, ensure timelines, establish milestones, identify dependencies, monitor work in progress, host kickoff and weekly project meetings, develop agendas, manage meeting minutes, allocate resources effectively, monitor and mitigate risks, track issues, ensure QC and QA against defined metrics.

Top Requirements

1-10 years of hands on network experience including switching, routing, and data centers- protocols like BGP

2-Wireless networking experience- CISCO

3-Understanding of network security- VPN, Network Access Control

4- Ideally some kind of network certification- CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, etc

5-Demonstrated people management and direct report experience

6- Server experience, VMWare, VDI
