We are seeking a self-starter with a demonstrated history of identifying issues and problem solving for this exciting Assistant Controller role. As the Assistant Controller, you will assist in supervising the accounting staff and report to the Controller. This permanent employment opportunity is based in the Fort Worth, Texas area. How you will make an impact
- Organize multiple procedures, policies, and technical accounting analyses
- Alternative duties as requested
- Name and create process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency
- Review and establish Ad Hoc financial reports
- Support to ensure a competent, trained staff through development, regular assessment, and goal setting
- Back implementation and make sure adherence to accounting policies and procedures
- Contribute to the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting
- Promote accountability and the meeting of deliverables
- Backfill for Controller when necessary
- Construct relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like actual spend against budgets/outlook, the monthly flash report, and key financial metrics
- Secure regular account reconciliation to completion
- Innovative preparation and coordination of fiscal year-end audits
- Support the accounting team during the closing process to confirm deadlines are met
