We are currently seeking Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk candidates who are self-starting and detail-oriented. This is a short-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Fort Lauderdale, Florida area. We are looking for candidates ready to enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. We are seeking candidates who are looking for career growth potential, and who are capable of processing 200 invoices per week.Responsibilities- Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans- Execute a range of foundational accounting tasks in agreement with normal procedures, including general accounting tasks- Present information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders- Review status of delinquent accounts daily and initiate collection action by contacting customers- Communicate, reinforce, and support the values, culture, and mission of the organization- Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in various ledgers- Verify documents and codes- Compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports and take care of payments in compliance with GAAP
