Responsibilities:
- Process accounts receivable transactions and ensure accuracy and timeliness of payments
- Prepare invoices and statements for customers
- Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and follow up with collection efforts
- Reconcile discrepancies and resolve billing issues
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable
Requirements:
- Proficiency in using accounting software, such as Sage, to manage accounts receivable
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of governmental accounting principles and regulations is a plus
- Experience with medical collections or public accounting is preferred
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to perform 10-key typing accurately and efficiently
- Familiarity with medical terminology and ICD-10 coding is a bonus
