Rober Half has an opening for an Accounts Payable Specialist in New Orleans, Louisiana. Working in the construction industry, you will become an integral part of our rapidly developing team, handling the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department and providing top-notch service to our internal business partners. This is a short-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities:• Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with Company policies• Handle the administrative and clerical needs of the AP/Finance Department• Provide customer service to internal business partners, addressing their needs and queries• Assist with internal and external audits when required• Open, sort and distribute daily department mail to the appropriate personnel• Sort, log, photocopy, and file invoices, checks, and other documents, maintaining an organized record system• Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling when necessary• Process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks• Resolve A/P issues promptly and professionally• Take on special projects as assigned by the Accounting ManagerThis role requires proficiency in Accounting Software Systems, Microsoft Excel, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Check Processing, and Data Entry. The ability to handle discrepancies with a keen eye for detail is also key for this position.
