Robert Half is seeking a candidate for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk that is able to start asap. Located in Newport News, Virginia, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short-term contract / temporary to hire opening. The Accounts Payable Clerk will match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.What you get to do every single day- Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners- Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily- Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department- Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling- Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents- Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies- Implement full-cycle A/P- Carry out additional projects as required- Provide support during internal and external audits
