We are offering a position for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor based in Chicago, Illinois, United States. The role entails overseeing all accounting functions including but not limited to accounts payable and reporting. The successful candidate will also be responsible for financial analysis and supporting the real-estate management and full-cycle development processes.Responsibilities:• Collaborate with the Vice President, Accounting to ensure accurate and timely processing of all accounting functions.• Analyze and support the implementation of best practices in financial accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.• Work cohesively and collaboratively with internal partners to support real-estate management and full-cycle development processes.• Prepare and analyze monthly and annual financial statements for the company’s operations and budgets.• Manage spreadsheets and internal software systems to track payment obligations.• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing activities.• Collect and review supporting documentation for the annual audit and assist with tax matters.• Execute data entry tasks in Microsoft Excel, Word, and similar software.• Leverage accounting software systems and tools such as Workday for efficient operations.• Utilize strong communication skills to interact with various stakeholders and resolve issues effectively.
