Robert Half is actively looking to hire an organized Accounting Clerk for a recognized company. In this position, you will be responsible for playing an essential role in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), general data entry, and aligning invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers. This is a short-term contract / temporary to hire position located in the Brattleboro, Vermont area.Major responsibilities- Resolve discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required- Assist Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing- Collaborate with Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance- Upload financial information to journals and ledgers- Arrange documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes- Companywide accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects- Assemble statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources
