Maintenance Technician Job Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing work such as faucet and toilet repair.
• Maintain and replace electrical fixtures and light bulbs as needed.
• Assist with the moving items and setting up for events.
• Conduct interior and exterior painting of the facility as required.
• Install and check batteries of smoke alarms and assist the Fire Marshall with inspections.
• Operate power tools, electrical supplies, dollies, and vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks to multiple pieces of equipment such as logging temperatures, changing furnace filters etc.
• Ability to replace and repair hardware, locks etc.
• Ability and willingness to work other duties as assigned to help ensure the smooth operations of Riverview Retirement community.

Qualifications

Maintenance Technician Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in general maintenance, preferably in a residential or senior living setting.
• Must be comfortable working on ladders and rooftops.
• Experience in plumbing, electrical repairs, and painting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, having 5 years with a valid driver’s license is required to drive company vehicles.
