Qualifications

What you will be doing:

Shift: Mon-Fri 2pm-10pm

Hiring Range: $28-$30/hr. (Wage varies depending on experience shift differential)

The Maintenance Technician maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.

Essential Functions Include:

• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts. Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
• Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
• Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

What we need from you (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.):

• Job related experience for 3 years minimum in a plant environment as a maintenance technician/mechanic.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of things including plumbing, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, etc.
• Understanding of electrical circuits, sensors, motors, variable speed drives, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other electronic components that are commonly used in automated systems. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with automation software and tools, including Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, and software used for PLC programming.
• Stay informed and updated on the current trends and developments in related technology and processes.
• Anticipate and resolve issues before they escalate or affect production by taking initiative.
• Basic skills in MS Office.
• Good verbal, written & interpersonal communication.
• Attention to Detail, as automation systems require precision and accuracy.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record required.
• Broad Training in related professional field usually acquired through HS Education or an equivalent combination knowledge, skills, education or work-related experience.
